MEIN KOPF IST EIN BRUTALER ORT – und deiner auch. Wo sonst ist deine
Kritik an dir selbst so laut wie hier. Wo sonst führst du dir deine angeblich
eigene Unzulänglichkeit und deine Fehler so schonungslos vor Augen? Wo
sonst werden deine härtesten Kämpfe ausgefochten, zwischen dem was
du eigentlich willst und deinen Zweifeln?
Er ist die stärkste und brutalste Waffe, die du besitzt – doch meistens
richtest du sie gegen dich selbst. Es tobt ein ständiger Kampf zwischen
Träumen und Selbstzweifeln, zwischen Logik und Empfinden. Kindlicher
Freigeist und die Einordnung ins System stehen im ständigen Konflikt
miteinander. Gleichzeitig ist dein Kopf Rückzugsort und Schutzraum um
Eindrücke zu ordnen, die ständig auf dich einprasseln, aufzuräumen Träume
zu spinnen und zu feiern.
Seit ihrer Gründung Ende 2012, tragen MEIN KOPF IST EIN BRUTALER ORT
diesen Kampf nun nach außen. Im März 2013 gaben sie mit der EP „Neue
Deutsche Schelle” ein erstes Lebenszeichen von sich. Prädikat der Presse:
„breit angelegte Blutgrätsche und feine Ohrfeige für die oftmals pathetischen,
aber blutlosen Deutschrockhärtnerkapellen“ (the-pit.de).
Nach Besetzungswechseln an den Drums und an der Gitarre 2014, starteten
im März 2015 die Arbeiten für die erste LP.„Brutalin” wurde 2015 von
The Finest Noise/Timezone veröffentlicht und erhielt gute Kritiken. Die
Auskopplung „Ich bereue nichts“ wurde auf dem Heftsampler von Legacy
Nr. 100, sowie Ox Nr. 124 veröffentlicht.
Auf die Veröffentlichung folgend, tourte die Band sowohl mit Doyle, als
auch mit hed PE und spielte weitere Konzerte u.a. mit Pro-Pain, Lionheart,
Destruction und Soulfly.
„Selbstmitleitkultur” 2018 erschienen über The Finest Noise/Timezone trug
diesen Kampf in die Gehörgänge des Publikums und verarbeitet die Einflüsse
aus einer Welt, die immer mehr auf den Kollaps zuzusteuern scheint.
Zwischen Irrsinn und verzweifeltem Optimismus schlägt „Selbstmitleitkultur”
dort ein, wo andere hohle Spüche klopfen und Phrasen dreschen – mitten
im Gesicht.
2022 erscheint mit „Ton, Steine, Sterben“ nun der dritte Longplayer dieser
musikalischen Dampfwalze. Mit Tue Madsen an den Reglern, Metalville als
neues Label im Rücken und 12 neuen Songs, bei denen Ihre Live-Power
und Rawness zu greifen ist, machen sich MEIN KOPF IST EIN BRUTALER ORT
auf, dir ordentlich einen einzuschenken – wie früher nur Heinz Schenk im

MY HEAD IS A BRUTAL PLACE - and so is yours. Where else is your
criticism of yourself as loud as it is here. Where else do you point out your own
your own inadequacies and faults so ruthlessly? Where else do you fight your hardest battles, between what you actually want and your doubts?
It is the strongest and most brutal weapon you have - but most of the time you use it against yourself.  There is a constant battle between
between dreams and self-doubt, between logic and sensibility. Childlike
childlike free spirit and the need to fit into the system are in constant
with each other. At the same time, your head is a place of retreat and a shelter for impressions that constantly assail you, to tidy up dreams, to spin and to celebrate. Since their formation at the end of 2012, MEIN KOPF IST EIN BRUTALER ORT are now taking this struggle to the outside world. In March 2013, they released the EP "Neue Deutsche Schelle", their first sign of life. Predicate of the press:

After line-up changes on the drums and guitar in 2014, work started on the first
March 2015 saw the start of work on the first LP, "Brutalin", which was released in 2015 by The Finest Noise/Timezone and received good reviews. The single "Ich bereue nichts" was featured on the Legacy sampler
No. 100, as well as Ox No. 124.
Following the release, the band toured with both Doyle and hed PE and played further concerts with Pro-Pain, Lionheart,
Destruction and Soulfly.
