The Headlines bilden eine gemeinsame Linie skandinavischer Bands, die die Grenzen des Alternative Rocks und des melodischen Punk verschieben. All diese Bands, wie The Hellacopters, Backyard Babies, Millencolin und jetzt auch The Headlines, haben eine nicht  unwesentliche Gemeinsamkeit:

den preisgekrönten Produzenten Chips Kiesbye.

 Mit „Warpaint“, ihrem ersten Album in Zusammenarbeit mit Metalville Records, legt die Band sowohl musikalisch als auch textlich noch einmal einen Zahn zu.

 Dreizehn Songs, in denen sie sowohl den schnellen Punk Rock im Stil von Bad Religion erkundet, The Clash Respekt zollt und den Alternative Rock mit einer klaren feministischen "Can do"-Haltung und Botschaft herausbringt:

 Eine Platte voller Krawalle, Rebellion, Liebe, Feminismus und einem der grundlegenden Gefühle des Punk Rock:

 Die aus Malmö stammende Band veröffentlichte ihr erstes Album vor 13 Jahren. Es folgte ein harter, steiniger Weg des Tourens durch die Clubs in Europa.

 Sängerin Kerry Bomb und Gitarrist Jake Lundtofte sind von Beginn an dabei, und obwohl ihre Musik im Laufe der Zeit einige Wendungen  genommen hat, sind sowohl die Ethik als auch die Punk Rock Attitüde geblieben.

 2017 wurde die Band mit dem Album "In the End" von einem Quartett zu einem Quintett erweitert, wobei Kerry Bomb die Rolle des Gesangs übernahm und die Bassgitarre abgab.

 Seitdem ging es konsequent bergauf, und die Band eroberte neue Gebiete in Asien, Nordamerika sowie in Russland wieder, um nur einige zu nennen

The Headlines form a common line of Scandinavian bands that push the boundaries of alternative rock and melodic punk. All these bands, such as The Hellacopters, Backyard Babies, Millencolin and now The Headlines, have a lot in common: the award winning producers Chips Kiesbye.

With "Warpaint", their first album in collaboration with Metalville Records, the band is taking another step forward both musically and lyrically.

Thirteen songs in which they explore both fast punk rock in the style of Bad Religion, pay tribute to The Clash and bring out alternative rock with a clear feminist "can do" attitude and message:  Next Level Shit

A record full of riots, rebellion, love, feminism and one of the fundamental feelings of punk rock:  "What the fuck is going on here?"

The band from Malmö released their first album 13 years ago. A hard, rocky road of touring through the clubs in Europe followed.

Singer Kerry Bomb and guitarist Jake Lundtofte have been with the band from the very beginning, and although their music has taken some turns over time, both the ethics and the punk rock attitude have remained.

In 2017 the band expanded from a quartet to a quintet with the album "In the End", with Kerry Bomb taking over the vocal part and giving up the bass guitar.

Since then, things have been consistently on the upswing, and the band conquered new territories in Asia, North America and Russia, to name but a few
